Pilates and How it Benefits the Mind

The benefits of Pilates on the body have been well documented and written about. Not many people realise how good Pilates is for your mental health.

Just something simple as starting a new hobby and meeting people can uplift our mood but equally, increasing your knowledge of anything can help you feel more in control of your life or mood.

People who practice it regularly say they have an inner peace that was lacking prior taking it up and that they feel more energized.  This is due to the movements releasing muscle tension and boosting endorphin levels.

The energy expended during a workout can result in a better night’s sleep too.  And because focus is required while performing the moves, it offers a distraction from worries and problems that may be weighing us down, giving us an opportunity to clear our mind and feel totally refreshed.

As Joseph Pilates say that “In 10 sessions you will feel the difference, In 20 you will see the difference and in 30 you’ll be on the way to a whole new body” In turn this will undoubtable make you feel a whole lot better.
